In the month of September the theme was "Connect" which was meant to give residents a better understanding of different cultures. Since my hall is predominately athletes I did a board around the sports culture at the University of Minnesota. Their coach, PJ Fleck has a very unique outlook on team development that I absolutely love and will try to adopt in the future! |
In August, the theme of the month was "Know Thyself", so as an area we decided to give out the color personality. We did this so residents could learn what color they are to see if it matches which it ALWAYS does! Rather than them just taking a test we decided to give them the option to tie dye socks of the color they scored highest on or get a cupcake with the color icing! Everyone had a great time and I learned I am a perfect GOLD! Attendance: 69 |
In February we decided to do a Soup-er Bowl Tailgate party to fulfill the requests by our residents who asked us to do a party! To give the party that "tailgate" feel we had games available like corn hole, ping pong, etc. We invited our new Vice President, John Holloway to give him an opportunity to bond with residents on a more personable level. He really enjoyed himself and asked to come back in March for our UNC vs Duke hall program!
